The Down Town Cyprus interview out now!
Anna Vissi gave an interview to the current edition of Down Town Cyprus and as always spoke about many different issues including her frequent visits to Cyprus for charity events, the economic crisis, music and her personal life.
Unsurprisingly, the interview was dominated by questions such as:
- Anna's current economic situation
"I never took care of myself financially, I was never good or talented at this. Maybe this is finally the proof that I am an artist. To be honest if I didn't keep working I wouldn't even be able to secure myself in the future. I've been through a lot. Especially with all the lawsuits and lawyers, unfortunately I lost a lot of money which I could have had today and would have offered me greater security. I believe I deserve it after 40 years of working."
- her feelings when she takes the stage at a charity concert
"It's a pleasant way to soothe something unpleasant. It's touching to see all these people gathered together for such a purpose. They are helping people today. They are helping those who want to feel better. We feel lost. There is a great uncertainty and it's a great curse not knowing what will come tomorrow, especially if you have children. Like waking up in the morning and not being able to feed your child. It's the last step of misery, of humiliation."
- the grandchild that is coming
"I'd like him to simply call me Anna. If he calls me grandma I will cry from emotion and I won't talk about that..."
